they hang around the top of the tank cause like in the wild thats were the food is. like if a bug or somethin would fall in the water they will have a chance to be the first to eat it.
silversides are great, bloodworms are alright for a treat. you really want to mix it up, so change what kind of food you give your bichir from time to time. he is still adjusting to his new home. after a while, he will become more personable.
