Personal care did not kill him. It was clearly a parasite or something. I've been keeping fish since I was 13 I'm am 30 now. I've never had issues with fish dying prematurely. I take extremely good care of them. Don't comment if you have no clue. I was asking for advice not for your criticism. Thank you for your earlier comment.

You can go through my threads and past tanks to realize I have a bit more than a clue. I am not bashing you, it's just a fact. Don't feed your oscar garbage like rosie reds. There are alternative live foods if you are having issues with getting them on pellets. I have marine sharks and moray eels on massivore pellets, it is quite easy.
As for the oscar, like I said. They are seriously hard to kill. You need to re-evaluate how long he was in your care and how his diet, temp, and water params were.
It could have been one feeder that killed him, yet it was still an irresponsible food to give in the first place.
Good to know none of the other fish were affected. Try switching to massivore if you have not already. Oscars are my favorite fish, sorry for your loss.
