IS MY POLYPTERUS ENDLICHERI GROWTH RATE NORMAL?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's what I assumed, but I'm still not sure. I hope it reaches past the 12in mark working the first year, I have 5months to go before hat happens. I have observed water quality and diet quality have helped the bigger growth spurts as well. It's always girth, then length, then repeat. At least that's the case with this one.

anyway water flow rate is real important for this kind of fish, good water flow rate and they grow real nice bro
I would put too much flow though. Maybe at the top but definitely not at the bottom they don't do good with a lot of flow IME.

What happens with too much flow?

Thanks for the compliment on the fish! I really appreciate it. I don't have a strong current in my tank but I do have good water flow and filtration. So I'm pretty sure if I maintain water changes it should grow out nicely

well from what I expirienced they start dropping dead. However what I mean by too michh flow is like a reef tank. I bought a used reef tank for a good price and the flow was just everywhere and battered them relentlessly and I didnt put that together until I had already suffered a big loss in my collection.

i think just weekly 20% WC will do, slowly for a 3 month monitoring, u can see the difference, of course water dipping system is highly recommend too but will be hard to make one in a 75 gallon or 90 gallon?

They're in a 75 grow out right now, I need to get a small diameter pool for them to move into next. I want a drip system set up but have nowhere to put some kind of overflow at the moment. Hopefully my next tank or pool will have one and a home made sump

that would be great, i think drip system works alot of trick in their growth rate in polypterus. MAYBE? im not a pro, but i do alot of research and try for myself.
