Is my stand no longuer good?

I looked at the worktable. A sheet of 3/4 ply would work but the price of the bench . I did check Craigslist for the Victoria area but didn't see anything that would work. Your 75g is a framed glass aquarium as long as the 4 corners are fully supported you should have no issues.
The foam layer is to help cover up rises or depressions in a flat surface. This is more critical with a flat bottom tank like an acrylic or unbraced glass.

You cane see the foam layer under the 220g.

Simple stand supporting 90g

Plywood on 2x8 treated lumber.

Why do you have a foam layer?

to keep any warping or uneven points underneath from affecting the "table top" ...

Yeah... I've just called the pet store and the actual stand costs the same as that table. There's no point of re-inventing the wheel.

I've found same volume fishtank for $150, it's cheap cuz it's scratched, but the stand is solid wood and hasn't been wet.
That's cheapest option ever. The scratched tank is square, I'll just put the scratches to the side of the wall. Problem solved.

There are dudes on facebook that make stands, but they're slow to give estimates. Like they say they can make me one and I'm like "I need a stand urgently, how much you charge for xyz paramethers, I'll make you a cardboard "pattern" of the top to make it easier" and ... silence...


We'll just pick up the scratched one tomorrow to make it safe and I'll try to sell this fishtank or deal with it in other ways if I can't.
$150 is a fair price for not having anxiety of an exploding fishtank.

i would contend that it's a good idea to have the entire plastic frame supported (by a flat surface).... but you may be right...

Well... it's light, had no trouble carrying it with BF, so I guess it could be more solid, but dude says he's been running the tank for quite a while.
Does seem sturdy tho
He drained it yesterday, got fresh algae scraps from it, so I think he's saying the truth.
Bottom silicone has been re-done, corners silicone looks fine, but doesn't look new.

Not a fan of lack of vertical support in the center, but hey, at least nothing in this one is warped and current tank started leaking as soon as we got home, so not like I have a choise anyways xD

Do I need to add a bar in the center?





Considering doing major hydroponics since the top is open. Love the look of dangling roots and maybe that's the only way I could have a monstera since above the tank is the only space that's not taken by anything

Hopefully the Spaghetio (rope fish) won't try suicide due to the lack of lid (he tends to wrap around the pleco anyways and that one is always pretenting to be the log at the botton of the tank.

No, I had the same stand. Will be able to hold. If you have a place to leak che k the new tank I would highly recommend to. I bought a used 135 many years ago and thankfully I didn't try filling it in the apartment because the redone seams failed.

I'm moving fish inside the new tank.
Dude promised it doesn't leak. I came home to the old tank pretending it's a shower. I don don't know where the leak comes from. The water didn't reach the top, but moisture reaches the lid and leaks on the 4 corders from it. I guess it's condensation, but yeah... Stand bended more. It's a situation of "no time to explain, follow me" (talking to the fish)

I'll just yolo and hope for the best for now. Wors case scenario, I do have a tub :S

So...Do I need to go buy silicone tomorrow?
Moved the old tank, floor underneat is definitelly wet. Things that were behind started growing mold... cleaned everything, put a fan on the floor. Floor board is definitelly warping too.

Flued a bunch of paper on the corners to make leaks more obvious.


FML. I'm so tired. I just wanna go to bed.
