He is still doing the same thing, hiding under a rock, with his fins about twice as active as any other fish I have - which is a lot of fish..) but I think I saw him grab some food as it passed by, so that's encouraging.

well if you are worried about him eating, clip a peice of macro, or algea sheet right infront of his "cave" so he can pick at it without having to leave his hiding place. Though put it there carefully so as not to startle him further.
