If you intend to raise hard corals, I would pull the bio balls right now and let the system develop its filter without them. (IME)
Ty ty! I will pick up some PE mysis for sure. I have been debating it though as I was wondering if it lives up to the hype that everyone says about itthisissimple;4809812; said:Hey, looks good!
The PE mysis is the best frozen food I've found. I like to give it a rinse after I thaw it to get the little bits out, but if you are feeding soft corals with it, that would be kinda counter produtive.

I will definitely be posting some major pics when I get this baby up which will probably be late SaturdayBradT85;4812692; said:I prefer Rod's food to PE Mysis but PE mysis is very good. I give it a good rinse because there are a ton of chunks and its very oily. The fish definitely go crazy for it.
Your tank is looking good though. Another thing that is easy to grow and adds color are mushrooms. Like someone else mentioned, trumpet corals can add alot of color and a nice look. I have a green candy cane/ trumpet coral that has been growing like crazy with occasional feedings. Green star polyps are also an easy fast growing coral that looks nice, just keep it contained to one rock.
