New idea, what if i used it as like a 1/2 and 1/2 tank, half water (with some cool but small fish) and half land with like frogs or non-pescavore (however you spell that) turtles?

an aquarium IS a vivarium, no? i don't understand what you mean with the vivarium concept.

I was thinking putting some like convicts or shell dwellers in the water (since i can't have TOO much water in there, and then making the top part land for some sorta land animals that will leave my fish alone and be left alone by my fish...

Any ideas? Should i post this in another forum?

Even with 4-6 inches of water I'd still wouldn't do it.

Don't do it. Water pressure and temperature Changes will allow the crack will expand.
