Hello buds hope you all fine
Today I got my tds metre and my tank’s reading was 447 ppm is it okay what is a ideal reading?

This is a 100 gal with 4 oscars

Here are some water parameters you might find wild oscars in.

TDS and Conductivity are closely related .

Although your TDS is a little high, as long as you keep other water parameters in check and in range, (such as nitrate down below 10 ppm, and pH neutral or below 7), they should be fine.
There is not much you can do about TDS, unless you install an RO system, so its much easier to keep the parameters you have easy control over in line.
I find nitrate is the easiest parameter to control, because all it takes are water changes. And when you keep nitrate under control with those changes, pH usually also remains stable.

That's pretty high for oscars or soft water fish from South America. Chances are high, that you have hard water, and a GH liquid test can confirm that. If you use this chart, http://www.globalw.com/support/hardness.html You will see that your TDS puts the conductivity to above 840, which is very hard (water).

Thank you guys
Can you guys tell me that
What should be the mx TDS level (which my readings should no exceed)

Tap water readings are 370

Well, no more than 150ppm when RO water mixed with the tap water, but you got to make sure that the carbonate hardness (KH) should be at 4 degrees when mixing with RO. This prevents the PH from going too low within 1 week. You can increase the volume of water changed and reduce stocking to get it closer to 400ppm.

How big are the oscars?
