Is my Texas a male?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When mine have spawned, the female colors up first, and only after the eggs have hatched, has the male started to really show breeding colors.
I also has a female that is the dominant carpintus in the tank.
This doesn't mean yours are the same, whenever line bred, or hybrids occur, things can be quite different.

Thats interesting, I honestly don`t know a lot about this species, I just think that recently this fish has become very beautiful in my tank. and I havent seen any texas like it. Reminds me more of one of those shrot body FH because of the nice trailing fins and head bump forming but I know its a texas, Its the nicest one I have ever seen in person thats for sure.
