2 g@y men adopt a 6 year old girl(at least one did). Her name is Sally. They have her enrolled at a daycare. On Friday everything is fine. Come Monday, her head is shaved and the teachers at this daycare are told to call her Johnny because over the weekend she decided she was a male. The teachers refused to call her John and were fired.

Is this insane or what?

I also happen to have a 6 year old girl. In the past month she has claimed to be a dog, a cat, a robot and a princess. Does this mean I have the right to force the rest of the world to go by that or everyone loses their jobs?

Two Houston-area daycare workers who say they were fired from their jobs for refusing to identify a 6-year-old girl as a transgender boy said they have filed a federal complaint against their former employer.

Madeline Kirksey and Akesha Wyatt also said in the action, filed this week, that their religious liberties as Christians were violated.

Both were fired from a Children's Lighthouse Learning Center location this month for refusing to abide by the wishes of the child's parents who wanted them to recognize their girl as a boy, they told a news conference on Tuesday.

People seem to be going overboard on all sides.

Starbucks removed a painting of a raindeer and a Christmas tree from their cups and now it's become a war on Christmas

ridiculous, makes me sick. I fear for the world my son has to grow up in and the everyday crap he will be exposed too.

Religion and Politics are not to be discussed on this forum. Keep that in mind during this discussion.

Warborg, I would tend to agree with you in a sense. Aside from all the political and religious stuff, there seems to be a weakening in the moral fabric that, at least on the surface, guided a lot of our lives. Let me be clear, I am talking morality specifically. It seems we have an anything-goes mentality anymore, supplemented by a I should get what I want when I want it underscore, all coupled with being overly sensitive and offended by everything. What does that spell for us, hard to say, but I doubt it is good. Of course, our parents probably said the same thing about us.

Is Christmas considered Religion? I do know many non-religious people that celebrate Christmas. (I'm just asking)

I don't personally consider Christmas to be a religious holiday as like you said, many non-religious people also celebrate. But, some feel the need to take stabs at religion when the chance is given.
