Hello,
I am seaiing around my bulkhead with Red RTV Silicone (High-Temp #81160). I have allowed it to cure over 24 hours but I am not sure if it will be safe for my stingrays and arowana. I dont see that it has mildew resistant additives. Nowhere on forums anyone talks about RTV RED. Please advise. thank you.

I would personally not use anything that does not say "aquarium safe" right on the label. Permatex high temp red is for mechanical applications isn't it? I wouldn't take the chance w my Ray's for sure.

Yeah it's for things like oil pans, diff covers, things like that. I don't know how safe that is. I would call permatex or go online and ask if its potable water safe once cured. Don't ask if its fish tank safe they always say no. Peesonally I'd never use it on a tank.
