Is petco going out of business????

the petco by my house got rid of all its live stuff and only sells food and toys now .

yea here in detroit they are all going out of buisiness not just relocating 20 miles away, all in southern michigan are going out of buisines. if they just movesd some of their imployees whould go with them. and they cant' be going out of buiseness because i myself have spent well over $1,000 dollars on my own and im only 13.

The evil PetSmart seems to be running our Petco out of town. I don't care for either of the two. The only fish I have bought from either of them was a birchir because my LFS doesn't get them in.

I just talked to the store manager at the Petco here not know anything about this thread and she told me that the one here is bowling green is the only one in KY. Petco is planning on adding 5 brand new stores possibly by the end of this year through out the state. My guess would be there are here to stay.

Petco and Petsmart both made a mistake by going head to head in most of the larger markets and it's starting to show. I belive this is a restructuring move and we'll probubly see a lot of relocating in the forseeable future.

Normally you find them located close enough to each other to toss thier dead fish at the other store....
