Is PH really that important?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think fish give a ****, I got a jardini that was kept in RO water in the store, I put him straight in hard tap water and he was eating within 30 minutes and has been active, healthy and hungry ever since.

Howdy,

I think you're missing the point: Reverse osmosis water and tap water can have the exact same pH value. Just a different conductivity (due to the difference in ion concentrations). Ion load and pH are two different things.........

The Ph of the RO water was under 6.5, and my Ph is 7.5. And he was kept in that ROwater for months.

Alaska - no - how hard is it? :) I thought jardinis were supposedly less hardy than a silver.
