is pleco difficult to feed ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yesterday i dropped some worms in the tank and immediately saw them "wriggling" their butts though still hiding under the DW. But this morning the tank base was speck and clean . so i presume they had fed. later will do a poop " stock take " to confirm :)

I think of it like this. New cichlids are like new puppies. New Pleco's are like new fruit trees. You plant new fruit trees, just forget about em until next year, other than watering them. Same thing with Pleco's. Very frustrating getting a new Pleco, and then waiting around for a few months until it starts eating and coming out. You get a new puppy, or cichlid, it's tearing up the house/tank on the first day. You're feeding it day one.

Yeah kind of like a plum tree :)

Set it and forget it is how you need to do with pleco, I once didn't see my pleco or at least I totally forget it exist in my tank for at least 6 months...until I did a major decor change in my tank I found out it growth 2x bigger and still alive...and disappeared again once i'm done with the decor...3 more months later I took it out and it went straight to nearest LFS :P
