Hi i was just wondering if i add sand to my 75 gallon with a couple of bichir in there. When i do my week water change and garvel clean would it be harder to clean sand than regular garvel.

Thanks everyone

I personally find it easier than gravel. Waste not picked up by filter usually settles in a specific area and is easily cleaned. No crevasses for waste to hide in.

Would the pythod suck out the sand and u have to re add it back in the tank??

Depends on the grade of the sand. I have some Pool Filter Sand (I think it's T-Grade) and I can use the vac on it, but my other tank has fine black sand in it that will get sucked up very easily.

easy to clean, just suck up debris, mix is up with your hand, and do a water change

yea i gonna get black sand to but just want to know if i a pythod to suck up fish wate and suff. would it suck up all the sand and i would have to re add it in???

Just siphon the top and you won't have to worry about replacing the sand.
