im gonna purchase an arowana to be placed in a 4'x1.5'x1.5' tank, asian arowanas hear are quite expensive for my pocket, so i decided to have maybe a JArdini or a silver arowana, which do u think is beter? o shall i say lovely to the eyes?? thanks!!

..by the way, this would be my 1st time geting an arowana..

Neither in that size tank IMO.

Like rally said, that tank might be too small. And don't go ask people "which one is more pretty". It's your opinion, get which fish you like more. I like silver more personally...

Would you be planning on moving your aro to a larger tank in the future? Do you also want tankmates. With silvers you have lots of tankmate options. How ever with most jars you will not be able to keep any tank mates once they hit 10-12".

Lots of good info in the "Sticky Posts" at the top of this forums page.

Your tank is too small in the long run, but for now it is a great size to start growing an Aro out. I have my Jar in a 48"x14"x20" and he is doing great. The main thing is you upgrade when needed, you don't have to have the tank already as suggested by some posts above. One 4" fish in a 180 is ridiculous. That said, if you can't upgrade once the fish gets to large for your aquarium you shouldn't buy an aro. Which Aro you get is just personal choice, if your worried about cost, get the cheapest one you can 'cause either way you'll be happy.

The min tank size you are looking at to house an aro is a 6'x2'x2' and obviously larger is better.
