is silver or a jardini arowana beter??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you can get asian aro.. if you like silver or jardini it would depend.. some jardini color up really good.. and some silver has some drop eye problem. personal preference. i would pick jardini.. but if permitted asian arowana.. at least a red tail:)expensive yeah... that is the draw back.:irked:

greens are the perfect aro, for value for money vs satisfaction in personal opinion... as everyone says if u can go asian.. otherwise its a choice of whether or not u want to keep other fish with your aro? if you do go silver! it saves a lot of hassle in the long run and always worrying about tank mates...

hi! welcome to the little world of arowana keeping...!
i suggest u go and take a look on diffrent arowanas in ur LFS and from there, try to decide which fish attracts ur eye the most... just be reminded that most jardini are preferably kept alone.

pls do consider ur future tank size as no arowana specie can live on ur tank for life.. however a 4x1.5x1.5 is a nice start! good luck pare!

IM(most)HO jars are way better and a nice way to get into aro keeping as they don't get as big as silvers.

A word of warning though ... don't get too attached to any of the tankmates as jars can be mean sobs!
