Is Skynet online already?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I see. I’m thinking about it differently I guess.
When I say WiFi I don’t mean an actual internet connection.
I just mean the car will be able to communicate there intent with each other.
It would be like a turn signal but for everything that takes place within a given area.
So every car will be able to “talk” to every other car.

Ya know what now that i think of it thats probably closer to being possible than i 1st thought. The original internet was something like this. All pieces of equipment constantly "spoke" to all other pieces of equipment interconnected with in the network.

How many of you guys would be ok with having an AI driven robot in you're homes ?

Not me, Siri is as far as go! No way. To creepy
And I only turn Siri on when I’m bored lol

Right on man. We were given that google thing as a gift and she stays in the basement unplugged unless the kids want to play with it.

I posted a vid a couple pages back. The Alexa part dealing with the CIA freaks me out.
I’m not really one of those conspiracy theorist people. But the thoughts of a Device always listening to my conversations is to weird.
I don’t even like the thought of my iPhone tracking my location but these days you don’t really have much choice but to have a smart phone.

Yeah man totally agree. I am into conspiracy stuff so it freaks me out even more lol

I think its part of our nature man. We just cant move forward without using advances in negative ways. Literally every technology leap we've made has been used to do harm to some extent.

We actually had electric cars in the early 1900's/late 1800's. Theres allot of theories on why we didnt follow this path. The one i believe is Ford (if i remember correctly) was also involved in oil. At the time it wasnt a high end commodity like today in terms of supply amd demand and kerosene was the main beneficiary used to heat homes i think the story goes that him and his rich buddies used the combustible engine driven cars to further line their pockets burying the electric cars.

We just can advance for the sake of advancing if there isnt a penny to be made

Oh yeah, i remember that Alexa scare... the thing is even Smart TV’s now a days listen to conversations and some even respond to voice commands...

Phones are definitely capable of being used as tapping devices along with computers with their in-built cameras...

Tbh, its a scary world we live in now, especially when you consider countries like China have cameras that are constantly monitoring their citizens with such advanced technology, it can track and recognize you just from the way you walk and move without seeing your face...

So has this ever happened to anyone.

My wife and i will be talking about a random subject one of us will bring up google on our cell phone and after entering not two or 3 characters into the search bar the exact subject we were about to search comes up. Now i dont mean one of those searches where you almost type out everything and the list of possible searches pops up... i mean literally two or 3 letters and bam exact search criteria

I have Alexa, it has activated a few times when we swear the name wasn't mentioned. I think I would enjoy a basic robot in the house...but it would have to be cheap. I'm not spending thousands of dollars on one.

Yes, what gets me is when I'm trying to find an address, sometime I just type the number and the rest comes up...creepy.

Hello; This is an older story. It seems a woman had two minor accidents one day and left the scene of both. She drove home and parked her modern car in her garage. The car sensed the collisions and called someone. I guess because she did not answer the cops were sent to the location of the car. So in effect her car called the cops on her and she was arrested and charged.

I wish I could think of examples of things designed for one purpose that had unintended consequences. I know they exist. What might be amusing would be if cars that can "talk" to each other might rank their drivers. What would not be amusing would be if they kept a log of all my traffic violations.
