is sticker residue safe for fish?

I got some ceramic clay pots to make into caves, and they came with packaging stickers on the bottom. I peeled them off, but they left some residue, which I believe I got most of, but there was still some glue left on when I put them in the tank. The tank has no fish right now but it will have a pair of rams soon. Will they be okay or should I drain the tank and clean the caves better?

While I also try to get that stupid sticker residue off anything going into a tank, I personally don't think a little left over is going to negatively affect your water.
 
I should have included it in my last message but now my concern is if the fish fry picking at it or something, would that harm them in any way?
 
I make my own wine. I have dozens and dozens of bottles I refill and use over and over. I take the stickers off all the bottles and the easiest way to remove the stickers, i've found, is to soak the bottles in hot water for a while. The stickers, along with the glue, all come off very easily. This would probably work in your scenario too.

Yeah you didn't mention having fry in OP :) -- never having bred fish except accidentally with some guppies lol I really can't advise on that.
 
O woops the fry part was a typo lol
I was trying to say "of the fish try picking at it" but I guess fry are to be taken into consideration as well

Lol. Well esp. as you don't have fish in there yet and just to put your mind at ease I'd say pull 'em out and clean 'em up better if you can (or buy some new ones and do like esoxlucias says so no residue is left behind).
 
i just pulled em out and cleaned em a bit more, much better now
the glue seems to turn white when it's in water for awhile so i'll see if there's any left on it in a bit but other than that i got most of the white off of the tiny areas it was left on

Stand them upside down on a counter top and put lemon juice or vinegar on the bottoms. Let sit 1/2 hour. Peel and squeal.
