hello i was wondering if Cyanoacrylate super glue is safe in large quantitys i have a nano project im working on and i want to do a diy 3d back ground i plan on pressing sand onto super glue which is on the back ground containers os roughly 1.5-2 gallons and background prob 5x8 thx!

Were you planning on doing this with water in the tank? Once cured it is a non issue.

It’s safe. Superglue is used to glue coral, attach plants on driftwood, and by surgeon as liquid bandage. Ive used it to glue terra cotta dust on ornament as paint. But it is not cheap. You can get the same result by using aquarium safe silicone.

Though I've heard of the bandage use I never knew that super glue was used on corals and such.I guess that that answers my suspicion that the glue would eventually dissolve under water.

Superglue doesn’t dissolve in water. It cures in water by hydrolysis. So you need to moist the surfaces to get strong bond. If you are quick, you can glue underwater
