Because i have a little less than a 16 oz thing of aquarium salt and just started ich treatment for my new GT.

For a few questions about ich:
With a GT and 10 giant danios, some amazon swords, will salt and high heat treatment be ok?

They are all eating vigorously, only one small danio and the GT appear to have ich, the GT has a spot on his pectoral fin and the danio has it on his side. Do they really have ich? they are all very active, no signs of lethargy.

I bought the GT yesterday, he ate on his first day. There were some other sick fish at the store but he appeared healthy.

I did a water change today, how often should i change the water and put more salt in?

Thanks!

Table salt will not work , you need aquarium salt , when you buy a fish from a lfs and you see a fish that even has 1 white dot on it do not buy from that tank other fish in there most likely has it even if you do not see any on them they can get ich on the inside gill plates and you would never know I have Lost alot of fish that way before I knew better .

But aquarium salt up the temp and it should be ok hope it don't spread good luck

How does table salt not work? There is not much difference between the gypped "aquarium" salt and table salt. Both are still sodium chloride except table salt has additives which contrary to popular beliefs, should be fine for use with the exception of yellow prussiate when exposed to direct sunlight. "Aquarium" salt will always be a gimmick for green papers in my book meant to divert from the cheaper yet equally useful alternatives such as table salt.
