a 55g is ok for to goldfish right

for awile but goldfish get big and produce lots of waist so you need superb filtration

That fish is an african cichlid pseudo zebra. It will not mix well with your others as some are African and some are Central American. Differant diets and water quality.

55 gallons is plenty of room for two fancy goldfish (they don't get as big as commons) but you need a filter that turns over at least 10times the tank's capacity i.e. 550 gallons per hour.

will that african cichlid get the size of a yellow lab?? and what lake is it from is africa do you know?? ty ty

like someone else stated-you have africans mixed in there, and they have different water requirements- i see a Venustus in there-my male got to be around 9 inches (also known as a giraffe cichlid) hes the big yellowish one with the camo lol..

he will outgrow the tank and in the wild guess what he does? he eats fish that he can cram into his mouth! so once he hits fishie puberty he will eat anything he can-like mine did...

id get rid of the jag, and the venustus, and decide if you want to keep africans (which are quite aggressive and can kill bigger fish-if you DO want africans, then get you want to get more of them to help spread the aggression out-so one fish isnt targeting a few others.

there are different types of africans but yours are mbuna mostly-lake malawi. i would recommed ditching the jag, venustus (it is a hap), and getting alot more african mbuna-yellow labs, zebras, acei, etc. read up on mbuna fish.

A 55 gallon is perfect for two goldfish. I would go with fancy, telescope, ranchu, oranda, fantail, bubble eye, stay with the smaller ones. Commons and comets need a bigger tank due to the waste they produce.

I agree. That jag needs a really big tank.
