Is tap temp enough?

Well, I usually let it soak in that water ( because even as it cools, it will still be hotter than tap) and keep adding as the pots are coming to a boil. A couple hours is enough. I've tried putting smaller pieces in the oven, too, but that caused a small fire.

Wood in the oven caused a fire? Huh, didn't see that coming! Just bustin your balls, Dave, I can't honestly say I wouldn't try that myself!

Haha I soaked it for a while before, so I figured it was saturated enough to not catch. Wrong. Oh well. haha Good luck, and no problem.
