From what I found, I could have a pair of fire mouth cichlids with a pair of convict cichlids in a 75 gallon. With breeding places on opposite ends of the tank. Terraccotta pots on there sides, with rocks, and many hiding places. With plants in between so that if they choose to breed the pair of fire mouths and the pair of convicts wouldn't be able to see eachother.
Would some dither fish be good so that the males can take out some of there aggresion?
Does any one see a problem with this? if you do please tell me.
