definately not, you can get 2 0r 3 fluval fx5's for that price(depending on where you are)

OR you could spend a 3rd of that an build a W/D :)
 
No for me. There are more cost effective alternatives. If the money doesn't bother you, then the convenience will make it worth it.
 
No, I wouldn't pay $500 for one. It would not be worth it to me. I can buy a brand new 180gal. glass tank for $500.

A glass tank wouldn't filter the water as good as an ehiem lol

Pro 3's are well over $500 here in aus, i've seen them over $800 :(

Nah! But a DIY wet-dry is cheap... attach to the 180, then the 180 is more fun! :D I guess living in aus is kinda like living on the moon, everything is imported with a heavy price.
