Is The quiet one 1200 a good pump

I'm asking because my old one crapped out on me and I saw this one for $25 but it had a 2 star review
 
I like them. They don't have a whole lot of flow, but they are solid pumps.
 
I hate my QuietOne pump. It's noisy, the cord pulled out at the plug, and the front cover doesn't fit the body.

I have GRI, Eheim, Maxi-Jet, Mag Drive, and Gen-X pumps and the QuietOne is the only one I loathe so.
 
for the price, theyre some of the most powerful and energy effecient pumps out there. ive used several and theyve all ran great. i love how they can used submerged or in external applications.

as far as them being quiet, theyre like women. some days theyre noisy as hell and other days theyre so quiet you dont even know if its turned on. :)

I have 2 4000's and 1 9000 they all work great. The only noise I ever hear is when one of the pumps is grinding up a snail. :WHOA:
Check out the flow/wattage specs and compare them to any thing else. A couple of watts here and there adds up over the years.
 
If you get one and it is noisy, call Quiet One Customer service, they will replace it for free and you get to keep the old one.
