Is there a such thing as Columbian hystrix?

Lol. I spend all my patience with my direct reports....none left for my fish.
The picture from Aquabid is of a hystrix, but what is known as a Brazilian hystrix. The picture looks like it is from someone's personal collection, not a seller of rays. I would ask the seller to send you pictures of the actual rays he has for sale. As stated, they are probably orbignyi rays and the seller is trying to pass them off as hystrix. Quite often rays labeled as "yellow hystrix" are orbs.
I may have another litter at the end of the year. My pair doesn't mate until late spring/early summer.
There may be some other folks on here with hystrix pups soon.
Also, the ray pictured is a beautiful specimen. Fresh imports usually don't look that good.

I contacted the seller because I would like a hystrix too. They said they were 100% sure it was from a photo the whole seller sent. Not the pic that was on description. I put a bid and risked it. Got an email later saying the whole seller pulled the bait and switch on them and when they got it in it was not in good shape and not a hystrix. They contacted aquabid to cancel the auction and of course no transaction.
