Also, to Marius and Wimmels, you guys were right. The other champ is definatly a male, he finally starting to show color. No growth in the fins yet though. I'm debating on keeping him or finding him a new home. The choice would be easy but he is 1 of 3 of my originals, which also includes his big brother and the venustus.

If you have no females in there, then it might work. What size is the tank?
I would think so with the subdue colors of being a lower rank fish and i agree with your analogy on letting him be top fish in another setup and if its concerns of a dither male you can always count on your other fish to take the heat..
