Is there a difference which vitamin to use in aquariums; for example between Boyd Vitachem and a regular human multivitiamin?

Also, how many people acutally put vitamins in their tanks?

There is no need for vitamins if a healthy, balanced diet is offered to your fish. That's a waste of money.

Key point is you make sure your fish must ingest the vitamins otherwise you are just polluting your water for no reason when you add either form of vitamins straight into the water. Your fish essentially cannot absorb all the vitamins even through their gills.

Most human multivitamins are acceptable. All forms of vitamins should be combined with their foods. Watch out for iron levels. High levels of iron can cause kidney damage on your fish.

Save your money and buy high quality pellets.

What vitamins will improve color in my fish? They dont get natural lighting. Is it Vitamin D? and if so will a vitamin D supplement work?
