you don't need much room for one. you could do a colony in a gallon jug big enough to feed a single tarantula.

is that ron jeremy in your avatar?

you could lower the temperature. Don't freeze them but 60 or so should make them much more quiet.

Or you could just learn to enjoy it. I love the sound of crickets at night, it relaxes me.

I say just keep a light on em....I have a beardie and always have crickets around.....They keep quiet and hidden with the lights on.

why kind could i do?
yeah i ran into him at amoeba a few months ago

haha, awesome!

well, where do you live in cali?
in an apartment i would err on the side of caution and go with dubias, they don't climb and will die outside of the enclosure when they try to mold if humidity is low.

i thought it was awesome to but them i started to see him around anytime i was in Hollywood lol

i like the idea of dubais but im not sure how my dad would feel about that i live in an apt and its already over run with roaches manly dude to othe people in the building being messy.

dubias aren't really the infestatiom type. and there's no way they will outcompete the pests you have now, do you know what kind they are? even if they all got out, i doubt you would see them until they started turning up dead from the dry air.
