Ive always liked Bowfin and Ive thought about just catching one around my house cause i know you can do it in my area, but its getting cold out and i just don't have the time to go out and hunt for bowfin to catch. So does anyone know if there is a place to buy bowfin online?

They're supposed to be in my area but I have never once seen much less caught one in the wild so I'd definitely be interested in a place to buy one. I've looked a bit with no luck.
There was a guy near me in southwest Indiana who caught a couple of baby's (like 3" long), but he moved to Florida a while back. I've been looking for a year and a half and haven't found one other than the guy in Indiana. And he wasn't selling.
i know this spring if i can time it right i will have alot of babies availible to me...there are a few that spawn in front of my friends cabin...nice looking adults...i know of about 4 diff. beds that all get used every year...hopefully i can time it this year...the last few years have been bad timing and they have been on the beds but no fry...the lake is 3hrs from me so it is tough to get there...gl i will post if i can get them...
i wish i had a tank for one a yr ago, cause i caught one that was nuclar green...it looked like it would have glown in the dark...it was 15" and i only had a 55gal at the time...
i live about 20mins south of atlanta and we catch bowfins all the time in the river behind my house. i also try to catch gar out there, we see alot of them but i can never catch them.
Yeah there is a lot by me too, but i just don't have the time to go out and catch some. Plus its starting to get cold out.
