I cannot believe what I was told at my lfs. I walked in to look around and saw a nicely shaped piece of driftwood that was around 25-30" tall and fairly wide. It had a really nice design but ,get this, they wanted $250 :eek: thats right two five zero. I couldnt believe it when they told me that. They said that the guy that brought it in had bought it for $300 straight from Rio Negro. He took it to the lfs to see if they would sell it for him. Now I dont know much about driftwood but $250 for a piece of wood seems too much.

:ROFL:

I just go get it myself. Maybe I should start selling it.

I get mine free from the creeks by my house,I keep my eye out when fishing with my sons.

to me $250 is expensive for any kind of wood unless you are talking about a piece that is extremely big. It would be hard to find people willing to pay that kind of money for a piece of wood.

My buddies think that 400.00 in fines they got were too much when they got
"fishing closed waters" fines...
what was I doing?
collecting bogwood...
Price of trip...
400.00 fines, 20 bux in gas, 5 bux for bait, 20bux for refreshments
Bogwood = priceless
Everytime they check out my tank they think about the price of bogwood

I dunno about that... If it were one the same size as above but something like black heart wood, or zebra wood, I'd say easily worth that much.

what is the name of the place selling it?if its seascape im gonna die laughing
