I have a 90G tank which would be considered over stocked by MFK standards i reckon.

9 Clown Loaches
2 Yo-Yo Loaches
2 Tiger Loaches
2 Royal Plecos
1 Flash Pleco
1 Green Phantom Pleco
1 Butterfly Pleco
1 Clown Pleco
1 Salvini
1 Green Terror

Whew! The plecos are all Juveniles and so is the salvini. The GT would be slightly larger than juvenile size.

I have two canister filters loaded with bio. One sunsun can and one hydor 450 can.

Faced with an opportunity to add one more larger sunsun can under the tank, should i do it or is there a thing called over-filtration?

Planning to use the third can as a pure mech filter. Oh and Sunday morning 60% water changes are the norm thanks to the Royal plecos coating the tank in sawdust :)

Tips appreciated :)

All this is true, but there is such a thing as "too much current", depending on the species. So, in that sense, there is such a thing as "over filtration".

Yes to much flow could be an issue. How ever you can do lots of things to combat that without cutting off the amount of water going through your filter. Widen the outlet. Put something in front of the outlet to break up the flow. List goes on. I had a fluval 406 on a 32 gallon cube for axolotl they don't like any flow. Just how you go about it.

Super high bioload so no you'd want TONS of filtration to maintain the tank. And some people say you need 10x the tank size for gph. And current would be the only problem. Over filtration is good.

Yeah, that is what i thought. They eat like crazy and the sawdust crap rain does not help either :)

Just make sure to have hidding place or areas to let the fish rest.

Yep. One quarter of the tank is covered with drift wood and java ferns.Shall put up a pic tomorrow.
