Is there something wrong with my fish?

Kept in straight freshwater. I've read about about people keeping them in both and they live long or they die. I don't wanna get into using salt its too expensive and I have a pike cichlid and clown knife and they probly won't be able to handle the sale

I've never herd of toad fish, they look awsome, I want one.

Well I get them for about $10 usually they are $25 or 30 at other lfs

Those are brackish.

I had a couple of them for 2 years. One day they turned just like yours and, sad to say, they died.

So what should I do. I don't think the pike and ck can handle the salt

I would recommend either setting up a brackish tank for him, or re-homing him to someone who has a brackish set-up.

did some researching and asking around and since the ck is also brackish fish the ck should be fine so im going to be slowly turning the take over to brackish
