Is there such a thing as a 'CA' pair?

Did they pair like say.. a pair of Severums? or just tolerate each others company?

my freddies are a bonded pair,if i separate them they go crazy on their tankmates until i put them back together. when they are togther they are side by side all the time they even sleep in the flower pot togother at night. In my experience i noticed if you raised ca's in a community tank they bond stronger,if you rasise them with no tank mates they tend to be less bonded. I guess with no tank mates there is no reason to bond strong, nothing to gaurd against.

I agree . . .

Funny that i started this Thread but have noticed in the last few days a bond forming between my Adult Blood Parrot and a yet to peel Juvi.

I would say absolutely depending upon the species. I had two convicts that paired up and were absolutely inseparable, like wouldn't leave the others side.

I have not seen anything distinguishable as it relates to pair bonding between Central American v. South American species. Some are stronger than others depending on the particular fish, not the particular species.
