Those kinds of mutations can show up in all cichlids, and with all the line breeding done with oscars, it is not out of the norm. I have seen many, and even much more drastic distortions in oscars.
But yours may just be temporarily growing differently, so as samarth said, you may want to reevaluate as it grows older.

There are short body deformation of all fish. But why do you want short body oscar when the greatest beauty of oscar is its perfectly elliptical shape, the same way nobody wants short body discus that destroys its perfectly circular shape. Long fin oscar has been available for a while, but never got popular because the veil fins destroys the perfect shape. Short body looks fine on fish like GT, FH, Texas, and BP which naturally develop humps but not for humpless oscar.

I bought three oscars. They were all the same size when bought and looked normal. The other two are normal bodies. I didn't go looking for a short bodied oscar.

Hi there. :-) so strange not being in the catfish section lol. So i have done a bit of research on short bodied fish in the past. Turns out that when people bred various fish for short body traits no one really understood whay was going on. What is happening inside the fish is the spine curves irregular which effectively shortens the length of the fish but also can give it a slightly lumpy appearance.

So what does this mean for your fish? You say when you bought this fish it looked normal? In this case i do not believe your fish to be a short body in what we usually think of as short bodies. It wasnt this way from birth. Thats a clue. Also the skin appears discolored and irregular. I think you should treat this fish with extreme caution. There is a desiese that can cause a curvature of the spine in fish similar to what you would find in short bodied fish. That is fish TB. Tuberculosis for fish. After researching this you may considering culling that fish. Could be disasterous for anyone who comes in contact with your aquarium water. Especially if they have a weak immune system for any reasin. Not saying that is what your fish has but please be careful and do some research on this. It isnt normal for a fish to develope like this when it was normal to begin with. Good luck. :-)
