Always wanted to own an aro...problem lies with the fact I have a 75g. Is that too small? Or is there a breed that is smaller. My LFS sells silver's...I think they'll get too big for my tank. Cant upgrade, just NO room. Suggestions????

If you can possibly find a short body arowana of some sort. Otherwise IMO the 75 gallon is too small for any of the species of arowanas out there.

even a short body would need more than a 75. short answer is no, there are no aro's that can live in a 75, but african butterfly fish (pantadon bucholzi i think) look very similar

Ya the closest you can get to an arowana for that tank is the African butterfly. Most species push the 3' mark the smaller are the Asian but 1 good luck legally getting one in the states and 2 still to big for your tank.

What you can do is get small silver and raise them up until it outgrow your 75G tank then sell it and restart your cycle with small aro again. :).

Thanks for your replies. Will go with a endli bichir. thanks !!!!
