I found an 180 gal tank 6'x2'x2' for $550 is this a good deal or should I stick to the 120 gal for $384 I found? Also I would like to put more fish with my 15 inch alligator gar that I have in my new tank ^ which I still need to decide on, but I love Dats and I want some of those how many should I get if I were to add another gar also?

Sounds like you guys in the States can get better pricing than the tank you are discussing, but I can certainly recommend the 6x2x2 as good overall dimensions for a variety of different display options.
Good luck with it. If it were me, cost permitting, I'd opt for the largest tank I can get.

I think ill do the 180 its the cheapest I can find i've been watching craigslists for about a year now in my area, and even surrounding states, and can't seem to find any that are the width I need for my gar. I'm planning on setting up a wet/dry system. Then I have the plans to build my own stand and in the end I'm thinking i'll save money this way. Thank you everyone for your input.
I recently got a 210g on Craigslist. It had the glass tops and black wood stand. The person wanted $650, I offered $500 and got it. In my area tanks this size are a rare find. And the set up I got was not even used, it still had price tags on it from the store. $799 for the tank, $89 for glass tops, $420 for the stand. So I felt like I had got a good deal.
yeah you got a good deal I got a quote for 900 for a 210. tank, stand and glass tops. Supposedly never been set up before.
Post your own add looking for a tank. Thats what I did when I wanted to get another big tank and I ended up getting one for a really really low price.. But, if you have the cash, and its what you want now, then go ahead.. I would first post your own wanted add and see what happens.. GL
