thanks alot for the advice. i agree with you that roselines are way more beautiful then balas and are less common by far so that would add to the intrest factor. a month ago my petstore was selling roselines for only $12 and at that time i didnt want to change my fish but now im biting my tongue lol. if i did get the balas though i could always buy a larger tank in the future, small 2-3" fish would not need a 120g right off the bat so i could get away with it for a year or two before it was time to upgrade. at this point im leaning towards the roselines but im still not completely sure. i may look into some other shark like fish as well so we'll see.......

OMG I JUST SEEN YOUR ROSELINES FOR SALE ON THAT VIDEO AND YOU WERE SELLING THEM FOR ONLY $4 EACH OMHG THAT IS SO AMAZING!!!!! I KNOIW THEY ARE SOLD BUT WHOEVER GOT THEM IS ONE LUCKY:swear:

Balls get very large and are very active I wouldn't recommend them for your setup unless you want to grow them out and get rid of them but it doesn't sound like that's your plan

I sold them to this elderly Chinese couple that drove 40 miles to pick all of the fish up. I know I could have gotten more for them, but I wanted to get rid of them ASAP. I posted on here and on craigslist and I had easily 20 people wanting to buy the roselines. They are cool fish and the colors they develop as they grow larger are amazing.

Hahaah I bet balls can get pretty big and might be active loooool but in seriousness your right, they would get far bigger then what I can handle and I don't want to give them up later but I could grow them out at first and if I can't sell them later I will have no choice but to upgrade which is something I don't mind doing.

Im happy that the elderly couple got them. I hope they still have them and are enjoying them. They are truly a gorgous fish and the first time I seen them I was amazed. I had never seen so much beauty on freshwater fish and they were so active and gorgeous. Do you guys think a 4 discus( eventually cut down to a pair) and 6 roselines would be acceptable in a planted tank? What about angels?
Thanks
