yup it's a silver!! Just went through this exact same thing. My one survivor is still alive but I don't know for how long. I can't get him to eat and he hasn't had a yoke sac for like 2 weeks. good luck!

sadly, I might just take care of him until the sack is gone, and get him eating then I might bring him back to the fish store. I currently have a 25" silver I grew from 3", and a 12" jardini right now (also grown from 3"). I thought it was a black. I dont want to grow out another silver.

well I told my buddy that works there that I am pretty sure its a silver. The owner of the store is still saying its a black so I told my buddy to tell him that I will grow this little guy to about 3-5" and I will bet the owner of the store $100 that its a silver lol

well guys, you were all right. The yolk sac is gone, and the little **** is 100% a silver. All the dark is now gone, and he is as silver as a butter knife.
