Is this a Bahia kel?

Dont forget the clamped tail.
Id guess f2 or higher.
My f2s are gorgeous. But the clamped tail is there.

In my experience this is extraneous, I take it it's also genetic and found in repeated captive breeding?

Or are there multiple kinds of clamped fin?

Yea Ryan its a genetic defect from either inbreeding or repeated captive breeding.

Here are some kel bahias to compare with.

Now compare these two to a F1 from the Taiwan breeding group from wes.

And FishandCash, that would be a Bahia f69

Wow, that kind of sucks, any other visual defects noted with inbreeding? Or is rare to find a defect other than a clamped tail?

In over bred Bahia there's a few common defects like clamped tail, overbite(upper lip protruding over the bottom one), flagtail, missing body markings or spangles. You will clearly see the differences between a high grade and low grade Bahia when you visually compare the two.
