Is this a black arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the last pic is definately a silver first few are tricky. It's darkish then fades out to white like it's super stressed or something, but you still see a few specs of "rainbow" color so ima have to go with silver

The tail is of my other black aro, I have 3 aros in the tank one black, one silver(?) and a RTG. All the same size. roughly around 9 inches.

You have a black aro in the tank to compare the aro in question with, yet you can't tell that it is a silver aro:confused:

The attachment feature has been disabled due to some problems. You can always use a free hosting site like photobucket for pics.

But Bderick poses a good question. If you already have a black in the tank, can't you tell by comparing them?

Maybe they're both actually silvers.

Why would you say this? Did you not look at the video or the pictures provided? There is what appears to be a black aro in the tank.

Maybe the OP can post pics of all three of his aros, then everybody can see the difference between a silver and a black. Or maybe not.

No thats the problem, he looks very similar to my black... except for the anal fin, thats what makes it look like a silver to me... but he has the steel gray scales like my black with a bit of a gold shine on them near its tail and from what I know i dont think silvers have that feature ..plus even his dorsal fin looks very similar to a black.

but for now i'll go with silver and wait and see how it turns out. thanks for all the help :)
