i noticed something strange on my Bichir rear right before the tail. It looks up a bit twisted but when it swims it looks normal.

^^^^ What this guy said :--) ^^^^If the lap is new maybe its lacking nutrition, i had that when i got my nigerian endli before.
had it for awhile and just started looking like this.Is this lap new or you had for a while? Does it flop to other side as well?
If it relates to malnutrition in any way. Applies to old or new bichirs. It is possible to have this condition. Underlying questions would be; what are u feeding? Is it getting it's fair share? Do see it eating or is it getting outcompeted (p-bass, cichlids, polyscatfish, etc....), how often are the feedings? If it's swimming fine w/nk buyouncy issues. Then we can toss out the paralysis potential.
you might be right. If the lap is new maybe its lacking nutrition, i had that when i got my nigerian endli before.
haha at first I thought it was another lap biting the tail and did a death roll. The other for some odd reason has been aggressive toward this particular lap. I think I’ll move this injured fish to let it heal.Hope he recovers. Cuz it looks like a result of this slick mma submission. :--)
