Looks more like RD.

Call him triclop:D

You think so?

I have several Midevils. They all have a pointier snout than this guy.

I would say this is a Midas....

I think its safe to call him a Midas.
Looks like this brute went through bloody hell. I would bet he will puff up more as his health improves. That looks like a horribly infected case of HITH, as well as an infection on the side and the gills being that red are an indication of high ammonia exposure probably.
Hope you quarantined. :/ He looks great though.

On the side, as I was told, it is a wound from a bite.

I hope that the scars will improve.......

He's a monster! That is a Bull Midas.

I'm glad you said that was your doughters hand because for a minute I was thinking I had you pictured all wrong.

Hehehe First Seargent!!!

You picture me exactly as I am....My paw dwarfs that tiny minnow of a midas.....

He's a gorgeous fella for sure ! Hope he thrives in his new tank !

Great looking Midas. Looks almost identical to one I had years ago. He lived to the ripe old age of 13.

After 24 hours with this beast ( which I named King Midas ) I believe that the HTH scars are "old", meaning that the disease does not seem active.

Anyway, it is more than 20 years that I have not had contact with this disease, so I will keep my fingers crossed.

It shows interest in food, coming up with the other fish, but cedes its space and swims away without eating..

Hope it improves....
