I might be wrong, but I believe I have seen that picture on craigslist before. The seller has been trying to sell it for a while now. That is way too much for a 200 gallon. People tend to try and sell their used equipment as close to what they paid for when new. That system would be a good buy around $1000. If your friend is patience, he can do a lot better.

Way too much for used. Be patient and keep your eye on craigslist you can find some great deals on there. I picked up a 240 gallon acrylic tank and entire setup for 500. But it took 4 to 5 months of looking. You might also want to get the cl app if you have a smart phone which will keep you updated on posts so you can get the jump if a great deal comes along.

Or if he has enough cash...... and is contemplating that way overpriced setup... just buy new??? google glass cages.... can get that same tank brand new for half that.... and then use the remainder to buy new equipment.

Don't do it, $1700 is way too much for a glass 200g. You can find one easily for half or even 1/3rd of that price. You can even get an acrylic one that size for about half that price on Craigslist.

Yeah I just dont understand these Bogus sales. I saw a CL ad for 10 gal tank selling at $80 complete set up. I dont care how complete, $80?
