hi all,

Just like the title says, is $275 a good deal for an acrylic 240g aquarium? Measurements are 96x24x24. It might need resealing and a good polishing. It will most likely be housing a single jardini if that matters. Not sure if ishould pick it up or wait it out for a better deal. Thoughts?

Some pics or a link would help. From your description it sounds like a solid deal depending upon the “reseal” issue. If extensive not a good deal IMO because it may be a lemon. Acrylic tanks should not need a sealing or there may be a much bigger issue. I’ve gotten lucky on a couple of bad descriptions with it being an easy fix though in the past so they are out there.

good deal if tank doesn't have to be resealed otherwise I look for a tank that doesn't need any work done to it save yourself a lot of headaches

He said he holds water but he would reseal just to make sure. I’ve never had to re seal a tank before. Is it that big of an issue to do?

Thanks. The price is right but i don’t really feel like putting a ton of work into a tank either

That depends on what you consider hard. A bit of Weldon 16 and that will seal right up. I would jump on it but I’m comfortable working with acrylic. Good buff and that’s a great tank for the price IMO.

IF the seams are split anywhere on the tank that is a different story. Just the bulkhead holes is no big deal.
