the guy told me it looks very nice and i wont be dissapointed. im goin to see it next week. also it comes complete with everything except gravel.

can you use ugf and a regular filter

It won't work well with sand. With gravel it works ok. With gravel and a hang off type filter, it works better. With gravel, a hang off filter, and the powerhead flow reversed to blow up through the gravel instead of pull water down into the gravel, it works best. The reverse flow under gravel system will blow poop and food up into the water where it will be more easily trapped by your hang off filter.

Some people like the under gravel system and others don't. I have a friend who has had his tank running for 15 years swear by the UGF. I added one to my 54 corner african tank, and it seems to be working well enough. I wanted more flow (which I could've gotten with just a powerhead) and more filtration.

If I knew when I started my tanks what I know now, I'd have more than likely gone with a wet/dry/sump. If only I could've found monsterfishkeepers before I decided to get fish... It would've saved me a ton of headaches.

That does sound like a good deal, just leave out the UGF.

i think you shouldnt get it considering you just got 6 sugar gliders with in this month and already want to get rid of 4 but once you get it and get the fish ....when u get bored with them send the fish my way

If it comes with lights I feel you got a good deal. Strip lights are ridiculous where I come from. Forget the UGF and if you want to do the sand thing make sure you pre-filter so no sand gets in filter.
