Is this a good power head?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Okay I will get the mag 8 since Its the one everyone else has and enjoys. I will check out Ebays prices including shipping and duties and if
The price is cheaper than big ALS sale then I will get it on eBay.

In terms of my stock list I am more of an impulse buyer, every time I go to big ALS i want to get more fish. I saw that blue
Gourmi two days ago for 3.99 and I loved it but i didn't want to add it until the exodons had a good time to settle in.

Since my RBPs are very docile or lazy they leave all other fish alone. They seem to be domesticated. I tried giving them feeders and they leave them alone. From rosy reds, to gold fish, to convicts. They just let the feeders
Live amongst them. So now i am making the tank into a community tank until the reds decide they are ready to be aggressive and turn all other fish except my plecos into expensive feeders.

how are they suppose to distinguish the difference between tankmates and "food" when you have them living with tankmates?

i'm sure they can tell once big enough

true, for now they're probably just snackin on fins. i just find it amusing when someone has a bunch of tankmates and then says they won't eat the feeders i put in

my little serra has no problem feeding on its tankmates.

Lol it's tank mates are the feeders. They started off as feeders and became tank mates. Then I tried giving them the stereotypical feeders incase they were confused but those feeders became tankmates. Until I removed them.

The k5 would be good for circulation. A larger model will be better if you want some poer as opposed to just circulation. I have a k4 on my 125g and it is good for keeping the water moving but it does not produce a current with much power.

I ended up getting the k4 for now. It was 45.99. So it can be used now. I will get the mag 7 or 8 when they all reach 7 inches. In terms on tank mates my exodons finally picked off my 3 platys. And my Ps joined in to finish them off. And now they are eating feeders. And ignoring fillet fish.
