lfs selling a 6 inch florida gar for $27 is this good. Any fish you buy from them they will take back on trade no matter the size so i figured i try it and see how i like the gar

a little on the high end of average, but not bad. hard to say exactly without comparison to other gar species out in your LFS. around here they are usually 15-$20 at that size--

well they have a 10 inch gator gar for $70 this lfs is always a lil pricey but the bring back trade is cool if he grows too quick or is too aggressove they take him back and give me equal or more value for the fish. I figure i will grow him out to about 15 inches and see how he works in my tank and go from there
Go with the Florida gar for sure. You'll be able to enjoy it for much longer especially if you have a big enough aquarium (180 gallons or more) that could house it for life.

i just bought a florida gar for $25. he was at $30 but seeing how i am a loyal customer, they dropped the price. try to talk them down a bit as that price is a bit high
It's relative to one's market. A 6-inch Florida will go for approximately $40 in the Wichita or Kansas City markets.
