Is this a gulper catfish ? Did I get a fake?

(This photo was labeled as a gulper at 3" same size as mine
I bought one today from exotic aquariums in Sacramento he looks like this fish. Which does not look like any of the other gulpers I have seen... Plus he was 6.99 Did I get a fake gulper?

I forgot what species of Cat that is, but it's definitely not a Gulper.

damnit.... They labeled it Gulper cat.... Has a huge mouth and appetite.

I think its an Ompak Catfish

Your picture is DEFINITELY not a Gulper OR an Ompok. Ompok are green with little to no speckling. Gulpers are solid Navy Blue with a pale belly.

In my experience, Ompok catfish are basically Asian Glass Catfish, with a green pigment. However, I gained this info when I worked at an LFS. Not the most reliable.

Wish I knew what he was he is that cat fish in the pic basically. Big mouth. He hammered some ghost shrimp but he definitely is not a gulper. I figured eh at 6.99 if it is a gulper ill feel like an idiot for not getting him. He is a cool fish either way.
